Tennessee National Guard Flight Volunteer Rescues Distressed Hiker in Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Last Wednesday, a volunteer from the Tennessee National Guard rescued a hiker who was experiencing cardiac distress in the Double Spring Gap Shelter area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
One hour after they were notified of the need for a rescue, a Tennessee National Guard aircrew flew to the shelter in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Read more here
