Snowboarder Dies From Mount St Helens Avalanche
On Saturday, a snowboarder was killed in an avalanche on Mt. St. Helens after triggering the avalanche on a cornice.
Large cornices are more likely to fail during warmer weather, the agency said. According to the website, moderate avalanche danger was forecast this weekend in mountains throughout Washington. Read more here
