SAR Team Rescues Injured Man in Big Sur Rock Slide
The Big Sur Fire Department SAR team came to the aid of a man who fell from a rockslide, injuring himself after being warned by construction workers to not cross the Highway 1 area of Big Sur.
The construction worker warned, “If he attempted to cross he will probably die. The crew member also told him that if he gets caught by CHP in the closure he would be cited. Read more here
Great work to the Big Sir Fire Department SAR team and other volunteers for rescuing the man. We hope this is a learning lesson for him and for everyone to always check to make sure a certain area is closed or not, preventing everyone's safety. please be safe out there!
