Injured Woman Rescued in Missoula
A woman was rescued by the Missoula County SAR team and other volunteers after her group sent a SOS text to the Missoula County 911 alerting them that the woman has sustained injuries while snowmobiling.
“This is a good reminder to ensure that if you are not with a group that someone knows your intended route and location," the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post. "More importantly, if you are in a location that will not allow you to call, but can text, you can connect with 911." Read more here
Great work to all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication to rescuing the woman and we also want to thank her group for alerting authorities. We hope the woman is recovering and healing from her injuries well and as always, please be safe out there!
