Injured Hiker Rescued By Navy SAR Team in Washington State
A SAR team from the Naval Air Station in Whidbey Island has rescued a 63-year-old hiker who injured their ankle on the rim of Mt. St. Helens about a week ago.
“While the SAR rescue team worked to secure the injured hiker, the SAR aviators conducted another in-flight visual inspection to scope out the landing area where an ambulance was waiting to transport the patient,” the statement said. Read more here
