
Hiker Rescued After Getting Lost on Amador County For Eighteen Hours
An Elk Grove Man was found safe by the Amador SAR team on Saturday after he was stranded in Amador County near his campsite for 18 hours while solo hiking. He was then rescued by a SAR helicopter.
Search efforts continued overnight and were joined by aircraft from the California Highway Patrol and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, as well as search-and-rescue dogs from the California Rescue Dog Association. Read more here
