Hiker Killed in Avalanche on Split Mountain
An avalanche on California's Split Mountain had tumbled down three hikers, killing one person and injuring the other two last Sunday.
The Avalanche occurred around 12,500 feet on Split Mountain. It’s the eighth-highest peak in the state and one of California’s 11 14,000-foot peaks. Read more here
