Gold Miner Rescued in Butte County
Last Saturday, the Butte County Sheriff's Office SAR team rescued a gold miner who got lost and stranded after going on a hike with a fellow miner in the Milsap Bar area to go gold panning when the friend got tired. The gold miner decided to get some water for him, but, he never returned to the area his friend was waiting for him.
The exhausted man waited for his friend all day from where they had split and when he did not come back he was forced to spend a night outdoors. Read more here
Great work to the SAR team for rescuing the lost miner. I would be distraught if my friend had to fetch me some water while I was waiting for them and they never came back, let alone, being forced to spend the night outdoors. We hope everyone is doing well and as always, please be safe out there!
