
Child Found Safe After Getting Lost in El Paso County
On Friday after several hours of searching, EPSO rescued an 8-year-old child who got lost in the El Paso County area after her family's car got stuck in the snow.
She had been exposed to the elements and suffered injuries related to the cold. Read more here
Great work to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and other SAR volunteers for rescuing the child despite the frigid weather and several hours of searching. We hope she is recovering well from her injuries. It is important to keep your child with you safe whether it be on a hiking trip or going camping, please make sure to keep an eye on your child.
